Mr. Doni Koesoema A. M.Ed (Boston College Lynch School of Education Alumni) has been developing Integrated and Comprehensive Character Education Program since 2007. But his ideas and thoughts on education, as written in many of his articles and publications, show his consistency and commitment for the betterment of education in Indonesia. His approaches on education can be summarized in this word, "promoting Indonesian education for social reconstruction, peace and justice". The government appreciates his works and contributions for his ideas and efforts to the betterment of Indonesian Education. |

Mr. Doni Koesoema A received an appreciations and honors from Mr. Muhammad Nuh, Indonesian Minister of Education and Cultural, as his contribution and thought that enlightened the challenged on improving character education in Indonesia. His articles entitled Kucing Hitam Pendidikan Karakter, shows the real challenge for every educator to reflect and rethink his or her thinking about character education. It is not taken for granted. But, it is intentional, purposefully designed, simultaneously done, which involved three dimensions of education basis. They are classroom based character education, cultural based character education and community based character education. The articles offered better understanding that there are still a lot of works to be done, as most people, educators and policy makers merely focused their attention on classroom based character education. |

The year 2007-2008, the period of study at Boston College Lynch School of Education, Boston, may be the better period for Mr. Doni to develop his ideas and thoughts on education. During this time, Mr. Doni mostly published his writings of National Newspaper Kompas contributing ideas, discussion and positive critics for policy makers and educators as well as an aid for self-reflection. Minister of Education, Muhammad Nuh, appreciated Mr Doni Koesoema A as the most productive writer published in media who consistently speak out many problems on Indonesian National Education, from National Exams, to the phenomenon of teacher's demonstration who fight for the rising of their salary. Mr. Doni focused his writings on the struggle of social justice, the defence of marginalized people who have the righ to get better education, and many problems ranges from teachers professional development to public policy on education. |

| Promoting Reading Literacy Program with Berani Weekly Newspaper |
Mr. Doni used to be a journalist. And now, he is working with Berani, the first kid Newspaper published in Indonesia. His efforts to educate the nation by giving trainings and workshop fot teachers. He promotes reading literacy and character education through media literacy. During the grand final of Jagoan Cerdas Indonesia 2012, Mr. Doni Koesoema A has been welcoming by Mr. Boediono, Vice President of Indonesia, to appreciates Jagoan Cerdas Finalist.
