I am a Biology teacher at Regina Pacis High School, Jakarta. I teach here since 2004. I am the alumna from Santa Maria Junior School, Tangerang and graduated from Environmental Biology Faculty at Atma Jaya University, Yogyakarta (UAJY) (1996). My research at UAJY is about the Effect of Ion Magnesium (Mg) to Chlorophyll Levels and Nitrate. After finishing my study at UAJY, I worked as senior Nutritionist in Viva America, West Jakarta (1966-1998). Unfortunately, it seems that working as nutritionist is not my real calling and passion. Thus, I tried to apply at Abdi Siswa School (Jakarta) and became teacher there for almost six years before joining the Regina Pacis School in 2004 till now.
I was selected as one of participants in the teacher quality competition (Guru Berprestasi) in 2013 and I won the first best teacher award working in private school in West Jakarta. I did activities not only in teaching, but also joining in a lot of teacher communities to widen my perspectives and experience. Once I joined with the Indonesia Teacher Society Federation (Federasi Serikat Guru Indonesia). Now I am part of the Sekolah Guru Rujukan Kebinekaan program run by Cahaya Guru Foundation.
I was also invited by Central Curriculum Office (Puskurbuk) as one of teacher who revise science curriculum in 2013. At that time we worked together with professors and science academician from universities. It is, of course, a good experiences for me as it enrich my experiences as teacher.
